Two decades to create and develop a major player in the metal construction in Wallonia.
1996 – the creation
Techno Métal Industrie was founded in 1996. It is initially a family business managed by two brothers: Eric and Michel Deneil.
From the start, Techno Metal Industrie focused on three sectors of activity:
- Heating and sanitary installations for general building companies and industry,
- The installation of piping for the industrial sector,
- The construction and installation of ironwork (railings, emergency stairs) and small steel structures (canopies, etc.).
The two founders present at the launch were quickly joined in their investments by Benoit de Dorlodot and Pierre Gathy.
Four of them controlled the company’s growth, without slowing down its success and while maintaining the initial family aspect. It is a Techno Metal Industrie value.
In 2000, the company was elected “Andennese of the Year”. Techno Metal Industrie has been regularly highlighted in the Trends Gazelles ranking, where it is now ranked in the major companies. TMI also won the 2010 Ambassador Trophy Trends Gazelles in the mid-sized business category.
Constant development in four areas of activity
From the very beginning, Techno Metal Industrie has been able to benefit from the confidence of its customers. They quickly recognized the company’s skills. These assets have enabled Techno Metal Industrie to develop continuously. The main stages of this development are:
the construction of a first 750 m² manufacturing hall in 1997,
multiple extensions, including a total surface area of 3500 m² for this first hall in 2003 with lifting capacity of 5 x 5 tons,
the construction of Hall 2 in 2007, with a surface area of 2200 m² and lifting capacities of 2x 25 tonnes and 2x 12.5 tonnes,
in 2017, Techno Metal Industrie increased to a total building area of 9000 m² with the construction of a third hall of 3300 m² and lifting capacities of 2x 25 tonnes and 2x 12.5 tonnes,
At the end of 2018, Techno Metal Industrie occupies a fourth 1500 m² hall dedicated to ironwork and carpentry, with a total surface area of 10,500 m².

Techno Metal Industrie’s customers are mainly general construction companies. Most of the company’s work and services are related to public procurement.
Multiple accreditations
As Techno Metal Industrie has grown, it has obtained approvals to be able to cope with ever-increasing site sizes.
In terms of approval as a works contractor, Techno Metal Industrie went from 1D7 and 1F to 7D7 and 7F + 7F2 between 1996 and 2017. These last accreditations were obtained in February 2016. These are in detail the following approvals:

- 2008: Infrabel approval,
- 2013: NATO security clearance,
- 2015: Certification EN1090 -1 + A1,
- 2017: Diploma in Welding Engineering obtained by the production manager of TMI.
2001 – Boilermaking & Industrial piping (CTI)
Five years after its launch, the boilermaking and industrial piping activities leave Techno Metal Industrie to be housed in a second structure:Chaudronnerie & Tuyauteries Industrielles SPRL (CTI).
The company is hosted on the same site as Techno Metal Industrie, Rue Géron in Seilles. It has its own manufacturing hall. Pierre Gathy oversees the management and development of the company’s activities. Visit the site of Chaudronnerie & Tuyauteries Industrielles SPRL (CTI).
